SF Crash-Fire-Rescue Station does their part to raise awareness!

October 14, 2011

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (October 14, 2011) –The firefighters at Joe Foss Field Crash-Fire-Rescue Station

and members of the International Association of Firefighters did their part for Breast
Cancer Awareness month.  Members of CFR purchased pink station wear with the
department logo printed on it.  CFR members also purchased pinks for family
members.

The money collected was then donated to the Susan G. Komen South Dakota Foundation.  The
members wore the "pinks" throughout the month of October.

October is also Fire Prevention Month. While at a public Fire Prevention
promotion, the members wore their pinks while talking to people, putting on
demonstrations, and collected food for the local food pantry.

Susan G. Komen South Dakota Executive Director, Amanda Anderson, accepted a
check for $600.00 from the members of Joe Foss Field at a presentation at
the Sioux Falls Regional Airport - Air National Guard Crash Station.
